this project's prompt was to design a website using html and css to advertise a typeface. i chose syne because i liked its modern and simplistic look, and felt it could be adapted to a lot of different aesthetics. it's versatility allowed for more creative potential that i could work with. i thought it especially lent itself to imagery regarding music, which is why the custom example pieces i made all were centered on that topic. i created a poster for a musical artist, an album cover and a concert festival poster. i also put some emphasis on the fact that it was made by a french studio, as i find multilingualism to always be a creative opportunity when working with typography.

the requirements for the project were the following:

• the name of the typeface
• specs: designer, history, description
• examples of all weights
• a glyph set
• three custom designs using the typeface
• link to download the font
